I know spring is almost over, but it isn't quite summer yet and we still have some time to squeeze in a few more floral DIY projects. This wreath is one of my favorite makes this year. It took an episode of Downton Abbey or two (I get distracted easily) to finish and it has a huge wow factor. A perfect rainy-day weekend project to bring a bit of sunshine.
- Styrofoam Wreath Form
- Cotton Rope
- 1 fabric flower bunch
- 1 greenery bunch
- Hot glue gun
- Wrap the rope around the wreath form, using the hot glue every so often. I did have to overlap it a few times because of the angles, but I hid that under the flowers as best I could.
- Place most of your greenery on your wreath, making sure it covers the areas you wish. I kept a few smaller pieces of greenery to fill in some holes once I was finished placing the flowers. When it all looks perfect, hot glue it to the wreath form.
- Finally, place your flowers and the rest of your greenery. Make sure any areas you want covered are, and hold it up to your door a few times to check. Don’t forget to add some flowers slightly on the sides of the wreath form to add some volume.
- Hold up your wreath and make sure everything is glued in.
Ta-da! A beautiful piece of spring welcoming you home.
